Cor blimey Charlie!

Well hello again!

In true Heather blogging tradition it seems to have been several months since my last post. This is mainly due to me getting very pregnant in the early months of 2010 and then getting very un-pregnant in April with the arrival of The Green Bean!

And what a few months it has been since then! Just about five to be precise and unlike what the books tell you, it hasn't flown past in the blink of an eye.. Nothing passes quickly when you're in the foggy world of sleep deprivation I can tell thee! Not to say that it's all been terrible, as I am quite happily besotted with the new man in my life. He's cute, squishy and never turns down a cuddle. And most importantly he doesn't answer back... Yet.

And so.. On with the pictures, as the have been quite a few taken!

Well, I've not managed quite as many photos as I'd like as I seem to be technologically stumped as to how to find them on the laptop!

So, now I'v managed to post a wee blog about the little man I shall scoot off and do some motherly things. Hopefully we'll be able to check in a bit more regularly from now on as we'll be starting The Great Baby Led Weaning Adventure soon so I'm sure there will be lots of cute and messy baby pics to show off!

Ta ta for now!

Well that was a long time..

Hello Blogland!

It seems I may have neglected to blog at all after my news in August so I thought it might be a good time to take it up again.. being a new year and all!

My news happened to be that The Yorkshireman and I are soon to be a proper family with a baby and everything.. It seems to have taken me this long to get into the swing of being pregnant as the first few months I seemed to spend asleep or doing less pleasant things down the toilet first thing in the morning!

So far all is going well and providing it continues to do so, our little Green Bean (as its a boy and we don't like blue for boys!!) is due on the 12th of April. I'm quite sure the only reason we're sailing through with no problems is my lack of knowledge about anything to do with little people, but nether the less I'm still optimistic that we'll do just fine.. I hope lol!

Anyhoo, other than being pregnant the only other thing I got up to for the latter part of 2009 was working in Peterborough's one and only 'ye olde' sweetshop. Fun as that may sound, it did get quite stressful in the run up to Christmas, but it has on the whole been worth it as its keps me off the dreaded JSA and truthfully, who wouldn't want to work in a sweetshop? Sadly though it will all be coming to an end soon as I am just covering the long term sick time of another member of staff and the owner doesn't want to have to pay me maternity pay so any day now she wants to "Sit down for a Chat", which means she'll be telling me when I'm leaving. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted and hopefully it'll be able to get round to painting the baby's room before he arrives!

So in a nutshell, that pretty much sums up anything worth talking about for now so I'll be off for a cuppa and perhaps a spot of cushion making.
